The inspiration for Plopi comes from the Romanian tradition, more precisely from the area of embroideries and stitches found on the hangings, carpets or folk costumes of our grandparents and great-grandparents. These represented their white canvas, the medium waiting to be brought to life through creation. Stitching went beyond the strictly aesthetic function of embellishment and decoration, acquiring symbolic values, through which people from different areas could communicate. Thus, they provided clues to the traditions, customs and, above all, the sum of the beliefs of the people of the time, the latter representing one of the foundations of life. Plopi incorporates all these elements and renders them in the oversized pixel style, giving the wallpaper a modern and non-conformist touch.

We set out to take elements of Romanian grammar, customs and traditions and render them in a modern and bold form, through overlapping textures and patterns, with surprising touches of neon and graffiti.Out of love and respect for nature, all our tapestries are made from natural, eco-friendly and biodegradable materials. That's why in our production process we use a Vlies base, a non-woven material, extremely resistant and easy to install.
