The Grand Corridor story

The Grand Corridor wallpaper pattern captures elements found in the central corridor of Stucatto Castle. This area connects each main room to the king's apartments, like a labyrinthine network. It takes many steps to walk it; some say it takes hours, maybe even days. The King's court has always been the victim of secrets whispered in secret, and people love stories full of mystery. It is said that, in fact, no one who has entered the Grand Corridor has ever been seen leaving. But these are stories, of course.

Let's go on our tour of Stucatto Castle. The central corridor begins at the last step of the serpentine staircase that led us to the Antique Attic, the royal attic. Walking in the opposite direction from this, we are greeted by a series of glassy eyes peering at us from the wall. This is the King's impressive collection of unpaired animals, the nameless prey of daily hunting sessions. The wooden floor creaks under our weight as we walk silently among the lifeless trophies. The air is thick with the smell of fur, dust and damp.

We continue our walk and reach an open area, where the windows contrast with the darkness of earlier. Here the light caresses the room with the softness of the spring sun, enveloping us in a sweet, shy warmth. The walls receive rich ornamentation, stuccoed plant motifs frame thick picture frames, blown with gleaming gold. Light reveals young faces, landscapes and portraits in pastel colours, deepening the sense of floating that has taken hold of us. Diaphanous lacework continues to weave across the stone surfaces of the walls. The dance of ornamentation takes us to the Hall of Mirrors, the royal family's favourite place for balls and social events. The 300 mirrors reflect the rays and beauty from all around. Here couples will be caught up in the waltz. The echoes of footsteps echo rhythmically from the scarlet walls. One-two-three, one-two-three. Someone, somewhere, is still dancing.

Stucatto Collection

The Grand Corridor wallpaper model is part of the Stucatto collection, representing a unique and delicate composition, which has been attributed magical values. It all started as a bold idea of communication, which VLAdiLA designers have shaped and brought to life. Through design, talent and inspiration, the elements took on new dimensions, depth and substance. Synchronously, the story detaches itself from the storyteller, becoming a self-contained complex of emotions and feelings. Thus, the Stucatto collection becomes Stucatto Castle, a mysterious and imposing place suspended in time. Each room in the castle corresponds to a wallpaper, designed in the unique VLAdiLA spirit, integrating elements specific to the Baroque and Rococo artistic directions. The common element of all the compositions in this collection is the stucco, an architectural ornament in relief, which creates the illusion of three-dimensionality. The description of the collection crosses the boundary between the useful and the aesthetic, becoming a self-contained story that takes us through the surroundings of the Stucatto estate. Each room of the castle brings us closer to the climax of the royal dance. Once caught up in the waltz, in an unsuspected and mysterious way, the steps will take on the shape of eternity.
