The Banat wallpaper model brings to contemporary design a unique composition, inspired by the national embroideries on the Romanian folk daggers, carpets and costumes. The elements are charged with symbolism, encapsulating the entire cultural heritage of the Romanian peasant. Along with the customs and traditions of the time, the stitching patterns offer clues to the beliefs that underpinned life and how they related to it. Depending on the elements used, they also communicate about the geographical area in which they were used, as well as local legends, culture and history. Embroidered symbols were invested with different roles, the most common of which was that of protection. Besides this, the items also had the purpose of attracting good luck, love and abundance. The Banat area's specific patterns framed motifs such as the slave and the spiral (symbol of fertility and evolution), the chromatic used being, as a rule, the black and white combination.

We set out to take elements of Romanian grammar, customs and traditions and render them in a modern and bold form, through overlapping textures and patterns, with surprising touches of neon and graffiti.Out of love and respect for nature, all our tapestries are made from natural, eco-friendly and biodegradable materials. That's why in our production process we use a Vlies base, a non-woven material, extremely resistant and easy to install.
